How To Use Facebook Effectively For Network Marketing
72
The game today is played on the Internet. And most people are drawn to social sites like Facebook and Myspace to market and network. Rightly so. These are great sites that allow you to access millions of people at the click of a button. What could be better?
There is a dark side to this however. If not used or set up properly, having 50 billion friends won't make you a dime richer. It all starts with an awesome profile. So awesome that your new friend you just added, can't wait to start working with you in your opportunity.
It Starts With A Great Profile
Before you start marketing however, you need a great profile. This is what it should consist of:
1. A great picture
Put up a nice smiley picture, so that people can see your face and those good looks.
2. You need to have a tag line.
Something that captures the readers attention immediately. It can be a title in bold that says "Hi I'm Bob Smith, and I know you're sick of your corporate job just like I was, that's why I GOT OUT!!". See how effective that is? And if they're anything like you, they will definitely read on.
3. Tell them more about yourself.
This is your chance to connect with the readers. So they can relate to you and get to know you. So the more you give the better, but don't make it an essay. Tell them you play the guitar, or that you love travelling. Or that your wife is a teacher. Just be real.
4. Tell them your problem.
Everyone has a problem that they need to solve. In your case it might be making your online business more profitable by generating more leads. Tell them your story to keep them engaged. And then when you're ready, reveal your solution!
5. The solution.
Every problem has a solution and you just happen to have the answer. Here's where you make the sale. But don't slap it in their face and say "If you want to be like me and make $30,000 every month, then click here". That doesn't work. Instead, be more subtle. Say something like "I found a solution that really changed my life and made a difference to my business and I really want to share it with serious entrepreneurs".
6. Who you want to work with.
This is extremely important. You don't want to do all this work to have tire kickers in your business. Make sure you tell people "I am only looking to work with serious entrepreneurs. If you like to complain and you are a tire kicker, DO NOT add me!" =) You get the idea.
Now The Marketing Begins
Ok, now that you've got a great profile. These are the tricks that you can use to start marketing your MLM business opportunity (or whatever business you are in).
1. Find Groups
The first thing you should do is find different groups that are associated with your MLM business. So for example, "Young Entrepreneurs" or "Network Marketing". There should already be some very established groups with a few thousand people in them. Join as many as you can, I would recommend about 15 to 20 groups.
2. Add Friends
Now your job every single day, is to add 30 friends from one of the groups. You should alternate between the different groups to get a mix of different people. DO NOT add more than 30 people a day otherwise Facebook will think you are a bot and may suspend your account. Make sure you add a comment when you're requesting to be someone's friend. People hate it when people want to be their friends, but they don't say anything. Something simple like "Hey this is Bob, I'm looking to network with other like-minded people. Let's share and connect!". Believe me, that little message will go a long way.
3. Create Your Own Group
This is very important for 2 reasons. Firstly you want to position yourself as a leader and secondly you want to be able to market to a close group of people. After you have built up some friends, invite all of them to your group. Your group can be about anything. It could be your official group where you give people free tips and strategies on how to build their MLM businesses. Or it could be a place where people in the industry can just come together and share ideas and advertise their opportunities.
I would recommend starting your own official page and leading everyone to your capture page. Make sure you always update your group on free tips and ways on how to grow their businesses. You can also post invitations to webinars or events inside your group.
4. Post Ads
Everyday, go into all your groups and post an ad which directs people to where you want them to go. There will be alot of ads in each group, but don't get discouraged. There are always people who are looking for help and there will be some who will click on your link.
5. Update Your Think Box
Make sure you update what you are doing on a daily basis. This will show people that you are active and this is a great way to advertise yourself. The goal here is to give value. Post something that will help others to grow their business. Share your best tips and tricks. Here you can use plain text and links, or use videos, or create events. This is a great driver of traffic.
6. Network With People
There are a few ways you can do this. You can chat with them directly through Facebook. Or you can send them direct messages into their inbox. Always ask people what they do. How are they doing? Can you do anything to help them? Never blatantly advertise your product or opportunity.
This is the exact formula that I use to generate 60+ leads a week. It's not much, but it doesn't take that much time and it's very consistent and reliable. It should also only be one of your many marketing avenues.
So what are you waiting for?! Get marketing already!

Excellent info good explanation of marketing on facebook thanks!!
Thanks for the great tips on how to use Facebook to build a business online. Facebook if the "biggie" of all the social network out there. Learning how to use it effectively is very important. Another tip I would have is to create contest with your facebook fan pages. Contests are when it comes to motivating people and getting lots of interactions going on your page.
We have to connect on a personal level because if we do not then nothing else matters.

Good suggestions indeed. Your points are practical.
Hi,
The great thing about these cheap electric guitars is they are excellent quality and extremely cheap when compared to what you would pay for the same quality guitar with a known brand name on it. Especially their Agile guitars.
